Formed in 2006, Rio de Janeiro-based band FORCEPS recently released a lyric video for the song “Atrocities”, which belongs to its new album entitled “Mastering Extinction”.

“Mastering Extinction” has ten tracks of pure Brutal Death Metal narrating the desperate decline of the planet due to human action, and humanity´s horrendous methods and efforts to avoid extinction.

To promote the release of “Mastering Extinction”, FORCEPS will go on tour in US in October, with 28 dates already confirmed.

The lyric video for “Transdifferentiated Nano-cells”, the first available track of the new album, can be seen below.

The main theme of this new CD is human decay and a post-apocalyptic world. Over the past decade, the band released two demos and, in 2012, the EP “Humanicide” by US label Ossuary Industries. After release, it took part in concerts in Brazil, playing alongside big names on the world scene as Cannibal Corpse, Krisiun, Napalm Death and Hatebreed.

In 2016, FORCEPS returns with new members Bruno Tavares (guitar) and Thiago Barbosa (bass), joining forces with the enduring members Doug Murdoch (vocals) and Emmanuel Ivan (drums), to show its most ambitious new album “Mastering Extinction “, to be released in the second half of 2017.
